Instances

Instances are virtual machines that run your environment. All resources allocated to an instance are exclusive to you.

Deploying an instance

Instances are deployed by running an environment. This prompts you for your desired instance type and your public SSH key.

Deploying an instance takes around 1 minute. If you just care about Jupyter and do not want direct SSH access to the host then you can leave it empty. You have full root access so you can install any software you need.

The instance lifecycle

When you no longer need your instance you can destroy it. When you destroy the instance you can choose to destroy the environment attached to it. If you destroy both the instance and the environment, you will lose all the data.
